Short version

We only use this website to explain Tankbase, learn how people use the site, collect newsletter signups, and reply when someone contacts us.

We do not run an online shop, process payments, or sell personal information.

Who we are

Tankbase is building simple terminal administration software for smaller liquid bulk terminals.

For this website, Tankbase is responsible for the personal information we collect and use. You can contact us at info@tankbase.io.

What we collect

We may collect information you give us yourself, such as:

• your name
• your email address
• your company
• your role
• anything you write in a message or form

We also collect basic website usage information, such as:

• pages visited
• rough location, such as country or city
• device, browser, and operating system
• referral source, such as the website that sent you to us
• approximate time spent on the site

This website may also process technical information needed to load and secure the site, such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and timestamp.

How we use information

We use this information to:

• reply to questions
• keep in touch with people interested in Tankbase
• send product updates if you sign up for them
• understand which parts of the website are useful
• improve the website and our communication
• keep basic business records

Tools we use

If you allow Analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to understand how people use the website. Google Analytics helps us see things like page visits, traffic sources, and device types. We use this in aggregate, so we are looking for patterns rather than trying to identify individual visitors. The Google Analytics tag does not load before you allow this category.

We use Klaviyo for signup forms, email lists, and email updates. Its embedded forms and onsite tracking load only if you allow Forms & marketing cookies. If you sign up through a Klaviyo form, Klaviyo stores the details you submit and helps us send you relevant updates. Choosing cookies does not subscribe you to emails; subscribing is a separate choice.

Google and Klaviyo may process information on our behalf. They may also set cookies or similar technologies in your browser.

Cookies

Cookies are small files that help websites remember or measure things.

Our cookie banner lets you accept all cookies, reject optional cookies, or choose categories individually:

• Essential: remembers your cookie choices in a first-party tankbase_consent cookie for 182 days. The website opens in dark mode; changing the theme only affects the current page.
• Analytics: allows Google Analytics to measure website use.
• Forms & marketing: allows Klaviyo embedded forms and onsite tracking.

Optional categories are off until you allow them. You can change or withdraw your choices at any time through Cookie preferences in the footer. When you withdraw consent, we clear accessible cookies for that category and reload the page if its tracking script was already loaded. This stops further tracking on this site; it does not delete information already collected.

You can browse the site without optional cookies. If the embedded signup form is unavailable, you can still contact us at sales@tankbase.io.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some forms or tracking may not work as expected if cookies are blocked.

Emails

If you sign up for updates, we may email you about Tankbase, product progress, launch news, or related content.

You can unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information.

We only share information where needed with service providers that help us run the website and communicate with you, such as Google Analytics, Klaviyo, hosting providers, and email tools.

We may also share information if required by law or if needed to protect our rights, users, or services.

International processing

Some of the tools we use may process data outside the Netherlands or the European Economic Area.

When that happens, we rely on the safeguards used by those providers, such as standard contractual clauses or other legally recognised transfer mechanisms.

Retention

We keep information only as long as it is useful for the reason it was collected.

For example:

• newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it
• contact messages may be kept while we are in conversation or for normal business records
• analytics data is kept for as long as we need it to understand website performance

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• ask what personal information we have about you
• ask us to correct it
• ask us to delete it
• object to certain uses
• withdraw consent, for example for marketing emails
• ask for a copy of your information

Tankbase is a business-to-business website. It is not meant for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
